You can, but I would not use your own — go to a laudramat. It makes a mess in the washer when you are done. Lots of sand/gravel is embedded in those things.

As soon as we are not in view our dog will pick up any outdoor rugs/doormats and take them in the yard and shred them.. Before anyone says get her some toys,, I assure you she has more dog toys than your first born.. She always gets attention I can’t believe it’s out of boredom.. Any remedies to keep these either glued down or her away from them ?? Thanks

Get some “no chew” or bitter apple spray from the pet store or walmart/target. Spray the heck out of your rugs. Then have the toys ready and praise your pup every single time she/ he goes toward them. Make playing with the toys super fun so she/ he associates them as a fun thing to do without the negative taste (consequence)

only if you use bleach with color guard… i’d strongly reccoment sticking to the steam cleaning formula though… mixxing chemicals can be very dangerous.
vinegar masks the dog smell with the horrid smell of vinegar…

We just bought a nice silk rug from a wholesaler, and its 8×11. Since we bought it, it has been shedding like crazy. Is it normal? And how can you tell if it is handmade or machine-made? We bought it for $ 350.

Are you sure its silk? A real silk rug machine made in 8 x 11 will be over $ 1000. Handmade more like $ 3000 to $ 30,000.
Its more sounds like a mercerized cotton rug. They look about the same. The cotton rug shedds more. Is there a label on the back of the rug with any infomation. Manufacture ? Country of manufacture? Any information will help to track it down. Post it and I will help. Two easy tests: rubb the rug with the palm of you hand, if it feels warm it may be silk. cool its cotton or rayon. One of the best tests is the burn test. Pull a piece of the yarn from the face. Just one will never be missed. Burn it, smells like burning hair, silk. smells like plastic, rayon. Smells like cloth, cotton. Also real silk is very, very strong. Cotton and rayon are must weaker.

Our landlady may be doing walk throughs. I was planning on cleaning the window and rugs after we moved everything to the new place and before he end of August. Not only because it would be easier with everything out, but things will get dirty if I clean to early. Do I needed to do this earlier seeing that the landlady will most likely be doing walk throughs. We rent a house!

Well if you have damaged the rugs maybe so, once a bad impression is given it is hard to remove. But from a landlord’s point of view it is not wise to do a walk through before you move out.

My grandmother got her carpets cleaned by stanley steamer on Tuesday. It is completly dry and today I tried to vaccum all the footprints and her walker marks out of it and it just made the floors worse with the vaccum marks and teh footprints are still there… what could I do to get rid of these marks?
